About

Greer Sanders is a first-year student here at Agnes Scott College.  She was born and raised in Decatur, GA, just a 10 minute drive from the school.  She has lived in the same house all her life and she went to the high school right down the street (Decatur High).  Academically, she has always taken an interest in science and language arts.  She is more specifically into the earth sciences and anything to do with fossils and species evolution. Language arts isn’t necessarily what she finds most interesting, however, it was what she got some of her highest grades in.  Greer is currently taking Psychology, American Popular Music, and Sociology.  She took Psychology in high school and the human mind and how it works has always been interesting to her.  Taking American Popular Music has been a really cool experience because Greer loves music, so getting to learn about it in an academic setting is a unique opportunity. Outside of school, she maintains a part-time job and enjoys going to her CrossFit gym.  She has a passion for music, not playing it, but listening to it, so she loves to find new, great music when she has the time.

In this image there are two hands that are holding each other.  Their fingers are not intertwined, rather one hand is resting on top of the other with the bottom hand grasping the top.  The hand on the top left has a darker, brown complexion while the hand on the bottom has a paler complexion.  For me, this image represents friendship and forming quality relationships, which I believe is an important part of being a student.  Having relationships that you can trust and count on is so vital as a human being but also academically because it allows you ask questions, get help, and connect from/with your peers.
